Babies grow and change so quickly during their first year! I love capturing that sweet baby phase with milestone sessions. Six months is one of my favorite times for pictures – babies are often starting to sit up, roll around, smile and laugh.. and the best part? They usually can’t run away from me yet!

Reese was such a sweet little thing, and certainly had plenty of delicious chubby baby rolls to show off! It was so fun playing with her in the studio and getting to dress her up with some of my girlie accessories.

Simon and his family drove quite a way to my studio to see me, so of course he slept the whole ride here and then was awake for a good portion of his session! I’m so glad they made the trip here from Milwaukee though, it was such a pleasure working with this sweet family! Simon gave me some great awake shots and slept just enough to get several adorable posed images too. As a newborn photographer, I just adore being able to capture the love on the faces of brand new parents – the parent portraits almost always end up being some of my favorites, and this session was no exception.

Since it’s *trying* to be spring here in Wisconsin lately I thought I’d share this lovely maternity session — one of my favorite things about this time of year is when all the flowering trees start to bloom. Add in some soft glowey evening light, a radiant mama-to-be (and an adoring husband!)… and you have pure magic.

Roxanne and her family visited me at the studio for her newborn pictures and they were so fun to work with! Big brother was just ridiculously cute…. he was not so keen on getting his picture taken but I think we managed to get some great shots anyway 🙂 Getting those sibling shots (especially with very young siblings) can be one of the hardest parts of my job as a newborn photographer… toddlers are often not so sure about the new baby or the camera, but it’s always worth the effort in the end!! I am SO thrilled to be offering Holiday mini sessions again this year! These were a blast last year and I can’t wait to do these again. Spots are limited so grab yours before they’re gone! Session fee is due to reserve your appointment. Your 5 images will be chosen by me and provided via digital download within 2 weeks of your session (1 week for the December 7 date). I will have 2-3 different backdrops available to choose from as well as some fun holiday themed props!

Here are a few examples of the setups/props available (not ALL props are shown… my poor kids only put up with so much. haha!)– however your main background choices will be the white couch (appropriate for families!!) , cream brick, or wood planks as shown.
